FAQ on the New Couples and the Wedding Cake systems by Izak Matatya

Dear Let's Talk Winning subscribers, customers, friends,

I received quite a few emails concerning the two new systems Couples and Wedding Cake announced two weeks ago. 

There were no questions on the discussion forum, only private emails and I would like to share my answers with you during this newsletter.

Q: Regarding the Couples system, even though your testing only had a draw down of 3 units, what is a realistic bankroll, both lifetime and session bankroll, to confidently play this system? Since you’re only making one unit every three shoes, I would want to play this for at least black chips, so I want to understand the risks involved.

A: 3 units drawdown was for the sample of 1000 Zumma shoes. Other random 1000 shoe simulation can show a drawdown of up to 20 units, with which you can feel comfortable using the Couples system.

Q: Since you are playing every other hand, what would you suggest as a betting strategy at those tables that require you to bet every hand? Other than just placing the table minimum on bank, would there be any of your other systems that could be combined with Couples, to bet every hand?

A: If you can manage it, you could use the Couples system every hand, provided the couples are defined as the even and the odd couples. For instance, the even couples will be Hands 1 2, 3 4, 5 6, etc. and the odd couples will be Hands 2 3, 4 5, 6 7. Thus you would be using the Couples twice simultaneously and also double your profits at the same time.

Q: I have a number of your other systems that are flat betting methods, or have a flat betting option such as your System 101. How do you think that Couples compares to those systems? What advantage, if any, does it have over those other methods?

A: Only System 101 has also a similar approach to betting in pairs, but Couples tackles them in a totally different concept and strategy. There is no advantage of using either of them. They are simply different ways of winning.

Q: On the Wedding Cake system, what is the difference between Maximum Bet Limit, and Maximum Bet Placed? Same as the Couples system, what is the lifetime and session bankroll required for Wedding Cake?

A: The maximum bet limit is a parameter that tells us to bet the next bet if we have not reached it yet. After that we place our bets, then the run is over. So the actual placed maximum bet is slightly higher, such as 28 units.

Those are all the details in terms of bet limits and drawdowns for the Wedding Cake system:

Maximum bet limit: 12
Maximum placed bet: 28
Drawdown: -3
Maximum single wins: 4
Max Profit on KISS: 2732
Max Profit on anti-KISS: 943
End Profit on KISS: 2640
End Profit on anti-KISS: -500

Although the overall drawdown (from the initial play of the system is only 3 units, but a lifetime bankroll of 200 units will be required.

For the Couples, although we see a rising graph, there is a certain drawdown between +220 and +150, which is 70 units in the worst case scenario, which would be your lifetime bankroll required.

Q:  Even though I usually prefer playing at higher minimum tables (better playing options, more access to EZ Bac tables), with a max bet of 28 units, I couldn’t see myself playing with more than a $25 unit if not less. Are there any more conservative betting options for Wedding Cake that would reduce that max bet amount?

A: Yes, of course, there are other options, if you don't mind reducing the overall profits a bit. Here are some:
